Abstract(s)
Tendo em vista a estruturação de uma rede nacional de formação e a garantia da qualidade dos
processos formativos, foi criado, em Portugal, um sistema público de acreditação/certificação de
entidades formadoras, processo obrigatório para aquelas que recorrem a fundos públicos, o qual
tem vindo a ser implementado desde 1997.
Recorrendo ao tratamento estatístico da base de dados das entidades acreditadas/certificadas
pela DGERT, procedemos à caracterização da rede de formação existente na região de Setúbal
quer no que respeita ao perfil das instituições quer aos domínios de formação em que se
propõem intervir.
Os resultados mostram-nos uma rede de formação desigualmente distribuída pelo território, o
que dificulta o acesso às qualificações e ao conhecimento por parte dos indivíduos e das
empresas situadas nas zonas periféricas, e dominada pelas empresas especializadas na prestação
de serviços de formação, o que pressupõe o predomínio de uma lógica de regulação da formação
pelo mercado.
In order to built a national VET network and assure the quality of the training process a public system of accreditation/certification of training providers was launched in 1997. Since then only the certificated providers can apply for public founds. Using the statistical analysis of the dataset of accredited/certified training providers by DGERT, we characterize the training network in the region of Setubal regarding the type of institutions and the training areas in which they propose to intervene. The results show a training network unevenly distributed throughout the territory which hinders access to skills and knowledge to individuals and firms located in peripheral areas. They also show the presence of network dominated by companies providing training services, which presupposes the predominance of a logic of regulation by the market.
