O leiomioma da vagina é uma patologia rara, estando descritos na literatura cerca de 300 casos. É um tumor benigno com origem
nas células musculares lisas da parede vaginal, sendo o seu tratamento cirúrgico.
Os autores descrevem um caso clínico de Leiomioma da Vagina, caracterizado radiologicamente por Ecotomografia, Tomografia
Computorizada (TC) e Ressonância Magnética (RM) e procedendo a este propósito a uma revisão da literatura.
The leiomyoma of the vagina is a rare condition and there is about three hundred cases described in the literature. It is a benign tumor consisting of smooth muscle cells of the vagina wall, its treatment being surgical excision. We report a case of leiomyoma of the vagina that was characterized by ultrasound, CT and MRI. A review of the literature on this regard is performed.
