As análises de regressão são o principal instrumental da Econometria para medir ou estimar relações entre variáveis que constituem a essência da teoria economia.
Esta técnica básica para os economistas revela-se, porém, complexa e de contornos pouco claros, no entender de vários especialistas em Cooperação para o Desenvolvimento com diferente formação de base. Nesta linha, o presente trabalho visa descrever em termos acessíveis a leigos a metodologia econométrica utilizada nos estudos de avaliação macroeconómica da contribuição da ajuda internacional no crescimento económico dos países em desenvolvimento.

In light of this, the present article aims to describe in accessible terms to a lay person the econometric methodology used in macroeconomic evaluation studies of the impact of international Old on the economic growth of developing countries.
