nquadramento: O enfermeiro especializado em cuidados críticos (CC) tem a responsabilidade de prestar cuidados diferenciados à pessoa com enfarte agudo do miocárdio (EAM), através de uma prática baseada na evidência e da continuidade dos cuidados. Objetivo: Sintetizar as intervenções especializadas de enfermagem que promovem a continuidade dos cuidados à pessoa em situação crítica com EAM. Metodologia: Revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada após pesquisa de artigos nas bases de dados MEDLINE, CINAHL e Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, bem como trabalhos não publicados e literatura cinzenta, de 2007 a 2017. Resultados: Foram identificados 474 resultados, dos quais se selecionaram 13 documentos finais para extração e análise. Conclusões: Aintervenção do enfermeiro especialista em cuidados críticos promove a continuidade dos cuidados à pessoa com enfarte agudo do miocárdio: garantindo a prestação de cuidados adequada e atempada; promovendo o estabelecimento de uma relação interpessoal; atuando como educador da pessoa/família e interlocutor entre os mesmos com a equipa multidisciplinar; e assegurando uma comunicação eficaz e metódica ao longo de todo o processo de cuidar
Background: The critical care expertnurse has the responsibility to provide care to patients with acute myocardialinfarction through an evidence-based practice and continuity of care.Objective:To synthesise the specialized nursing interventionsthatpromote continuity of care to critically ill patients with acute myocardial infarction.Methodology: Integrative reviewof the literature,carried outafter searching for articles in the MEDLINE,CINAHL and Cochrane Central Register of ControlledTrials databases,as well as in unpublished and grey literature,from 2007 to 2017.Results: 474 results were identified,of which13 documents were selected for extraction and analysis.Conclusions: Expertnurse intervention in critical care settings promotescontinuity of care to patients with acute myocardial infarction.This is accomplished ensuring adequate and timely care;promoting the establishmentof interpersonal relationships;acting as patient/family educator and as their interlocutor with themultidisciplinary team;and ensuring effective and methodical communication throughoutthe entire process of caring.
