Este relatório é uma compilação das atividades desenvolvidas no decorrer do
estágio curricular final da licenciatura em Enfermagem Veterinária, na sua componente
teórica e prática, realizado em ambiente hospitalar na área temática da clínica médica e
cirúrgica de animais de companhia. O estágio curricular foi realizado no Hospital
Veterinário BichoMix com a duração de três meses tendo sido possível acompanhar
várias áreas no âmbito hospitalar, desempenhando o papel de enfermeira veterinária no
teor prático, através do acompanhamento clínico no internamento, em consultas de
diversas especialidades, urgências e cirurgias. É apresentada uma breve referência ao
hospital onde foram desenvolvidas estas atividades. A aluna acompanhou no seu total 500
animais, sendo que pôde assistir a 60 casos de urgência, 100 casos submetidos a
procedimento cirúrgico e 90 exames complementares de diagnóstico. No internamento
foi possível a aluna acompanhar 250 animais. O abordado para o desenvolvimento da
monografia, “Acompanhamento Clínico em Felinos com obstrução urinária” tem como
objetivo dar a entender aos leitores as tarefas que podem ser desempenhadas pelo
enfermeiro veterinário, que consistem, no acompanhamento do maneio clínico no
internamento e cirúrgico, auxílio ao médico veterinário e aplicação de terapêuticas
diatéticas como modo de prevenção da urolitíase em gatos com obstrução ureteral. Sendo
incluída uma descrição de estas atividades desempenhadas pela aluna, em 2 casos clínicos
de felinos que apresentavam esta patologia.
This report is a compilation of the activities developed during the final curricular internship of the degree in Veterinary Nursing, in its theoretical and practical component, carried out in a hospital environment in the thematic area of medical and surgical clinic of pet animals. The internship was carried out at the BichoMix Veterinary Hospital with a duration of three months, and it was possible to follow several areas in the hospital environment, playing the role of veterinary nurse in the practical content, through clinical monitoring in hospitalization, in consultations of various specialties, emergencies and surgeries. A brief reference to the hospital where these activities were developed is presented. The student accompanied a total of 500 animals, and was able to attend 60 emergency cases, 100 cases submitted to surgical procedures, and 90 complementary diagnostic tests. During hospitalization, the student was able to accompany 250 animals. The approached for the development of the monograph, "Clinical Follow-up in Feline with Urinary Obstruction" aims to give readers to understand the tasks that can be performed by the veterinary nurse, which consist of monitoring the clinical management in the hospitalization and surgery, aid to the veterinarian and application of dietary therapies as a way to prevent urolithic urolithiasis in cats with ureteral obstruction. A description of these activities performed by the student in 2 clinical cases of cats that presented this pathology is included.
