Abstract(s)

A presente dissertação tem como objectivo identificar os meios e a organização da Artilharia de Campanha durante a “Blitzkrieg” da 2ª Guerra Mundial. Com este trabalho pretendemos identificar a evolução da organização da Artilharia alemã no período da 2ª Guerra Mundial, baseando-nos na frente Oeste e frente Leste do conflito, anexação da França e o conflito com a União Soviética respectivamente. Ambicionamos analisar a resposta alemã às dificuldades inerentes de um conflito da dimensão da 2ª Guerra Mundial e analisar a sua evolução e adaptação ao novo conceito de Guerra Relâmpago “Blitzkrieg”, a criação de novos meios e inovações tácticas e tecnológicas. A elaboração deste trabalho assentou essencialmente na análise documental de bibliografia maioritariamente em inglês, sobre o período compreendido entre 1939 a 1945.

Abstract This thesis aims to identify the means and organization of the Field Artillery during the "Blitzkrieg" of World War 2. With this work we intend to identify the changes in the organization of the German artillery during the Second World War, basing ourselves on the Western Front and Eastern Front of the conflict, the France annexation and the conflict with the Soviet Union respectively. We are going to analyze Germany's answer to the difficulties inherent in a conflict such as the Second World War and to study their evolution and adjustment to the new concept "Blitzkrieg", creating new tools, tactics and technological means. The development of this work is essentially based on the analysis of mostly English documentary, between the periods 1939 to 1945.
