In the troubled times in which we live in, that Portugal lives in a severe and strong economic crisis, the civil construction market stagnated almost completely. Pinto (2012) refer that many companies had their profits according to public works. In the meantime, the state no longer had money to finance the public works, and many companies were forced to drastically reduce their activity, to ensure that they would remain active, on the market, many companies had to restrict their business strategy and many of them end up to internationalizing to emerging markets, such as Angola. As a result of a strong internationalization of the civil construction companies to Angola, with its linguistic and cultural references, plus the manufacturing sector in the African country, that can not give way to demands, Portugal finds himself one of the main suppliers to the companies operating in Angola. According to this point of view, we thought to be important the dissertation here submitted, in order to understand and ascertain, the objective and finding out what the implications of the internationalization in the supply chain in relation to the trading partners, and their logistic strategies used in order to analyze processes and their problems for a better comprehension of this thematic study. We believe that this study is very important for entrepreneurs in the sector, who intend towards go to Angola trough the internalization, to be awareness of the practices and processes, opportunities and difficulties mentioned here. The best way we found to study these issues was throughout a gradual approach of this thematic. First we understood the concept of internationalization, then the supply chain and finally references on the market for Angola, making whenever possible in the chapters a mention to the civil construction sector. After a bibliographic exploration on matters relevant to this study, propositions have been mentioned to be developing in two case studies. We end up with an answer to the question posed in the beginning of this study and finally we include the final remarks e considerations in conclusion.
