dc.description.abstract	A notícia imprevista da necessidade cirúrgica, potencia a ansiedade da família e da criança. O enfermeiro atua como dinamizador do processo de preparação pré-operatória, com impacto positivo nesta experiência de transição saúde-doença, ao longo do período peri-operatório. Os objetivos do relatório caracterizam-se por: 1) abordar a temática enquadrada na Teoria da Transições de Afaf Meleis e Teoria da Incerteza de Merle Mishel; 2) Identificar intervenções de enfermagem que capacitam os pais a vivenciar e a lidar com a incerteza associada, durante o período pré-operatório; 3) descrever as atividades desenvolvidas ao longo dos estágios; 4) reflexão estruturada do processo de desenvolvimento de competências de mestre e especialista em Enfermagem na área da pessoa em situação crítica, preconizadas pela Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Lisboa e pelas competências comuns do enfermeiro especialista e do enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem em pessoa em situação crítica. Com base na pesquisa realizada e nas experiências vividas em estágio, verifica-se que, tendo por foco a transição saúde-doença da criança e família, face à incerteza experienciada, os enfermeiros devem procurar assumir um cuidado de proximidade e informação que lhes permita intervir na capacitação e promoção do conforto. As necessidades da criança e da família são significativas neste processo, verificando-se que os enfermeiros podem ser facilitadores se assumirem uma construção individualizada das intervenções terapêuticas de enfermagem passíveis de ser utilizadas no período pré-operatório.	por
dc.description.abstract	The unexpected news of the need for surgery heightens the anxiety of both the family and the child. The nurse takes on the role of facilitating the pre-operative preparation process, with a positive impact on this health-disease transition experience throughout the perioperative period. The objectives of the report are characterized by: 1) addressing the theme framed within Afaf Meleis' Theory of Transitions and Merle Mishel's Theory of Uncertainty; 2) Identifying nursing interventions that empower parents to experience and cope with the associated uncertainty during the pre-operative period; 3) describing the activities developed throughout the stages; 4) a structured reflection on the process of developing master and specialist competencies in Nursing, specifically in the area of critically ill individuals as advocated by the Lisbon School of Nursing and the common competencies of the specialist nurse and the specialist nurse in critical care nursing. Based on the research conducted and the experiences gained during the internship, it is evident that nurses, focusing on the child and family's health-disease transition in the face of experienced uncertainty, should strive to provide close care and information that enables them to intervene in empowerment and comfort promotion. The needs of the child and family are significant in this process, and nurses can be facilitators if they undertake an individualized construction of nursing therapeutic interventions, which can be used in the pre-operative period.	eng
