Abstract(s)
sociais, consequentes do avanço tecnológico.
sociais e políticas fizeram parte deste progresso e
The last few years have been marked by profound social changes, a consequence of technological advances. We have seen the emergence of new technological tools and means of communication that have created new ways for people to communicate and inform themselves - increasingly rapid, dynamic, and constant interactions. A cycle characterized by the progress of society as a whole. With the advent of the information society and the widespread access to digital technologies, social and political transformations have also been part of this progress and have conquered new stages, giving rise to new forms of collective mobilization and activism, in which digital equipment and media take on an important role. In a time when the concern with human rights is increasing, the free circulation of information associated with the use of digital media has enabled users to use this medium to exercise citizenship. It is in this context that this dissertation is developed, presenting a reflection based on the following themes: social media, social media activism and the influence of activist graphic design in the participation and adherence to this type of content. As we relate these issues, the goal is to answer the following questions: Can we recognize social media as a place of opportunity for social transformation? And what influence do aesthetic elements have, through activist graphic design, as a form of political and contestatory expression, in the adherence to this transformation? Will the activist graphic design and the way the contents are presented, have an influence in the political participation, in the mentioned platforms?
