Abstract(s)
A dissertação que se apresenta para a obtenção do grau de mestre na especialização de Criminologia e Investigação Criminal inclui um estudo empírico que partiu de uma pergunta de partida que serviu de fio condutor: “Quais são as experiências de ex-reclusos nos seus processos de reinserção social, atendendo às suas perceções acerca da capacidade preventiva do processo de reinserção social em relação à reincidência?”
O estudo teve por base o método qualitativo, com recurso à técnica de entrevista semiestruturada, a seis ex-reclusos do sexo masculino, que, à data da recolha de dados, estavam em processo de apoio junto da Associação “O Companheiro”; Confiar e Associação “Diálogo&Ação”, com a pena de privação de liberdade efetivamente cumprida ou em liberdade condicional.
O estudo permitiu concluir que o processo de reinserção social contém lacunas que impossibilitam uma resposta adequada na prevenção da reincidência criminal.
The dissertation presented for the master's degree in in the specialization of Criminology and Criminal Investigation includes an empirical study based on the starting question: “What are the experiences of ex-prisoners in their social reintegration processes, given their perceptions of the preventive capacity of the social reintegration process in relation to recidivism?” The study was based on the qualitative method, using a semi-structured interview technique with six male ex-prisoners who, at the time of data collection, were in the process of being supported by the “O Companheiro” Association; Confiar and the “Diálogo&Ação” Association, with a sentence of deprivation of liberty being served or on parole. The study led to the conclusion that the social reintegration process contains gaps that make it impossible to provide an adequate response to prevent criminal recidivism.
