| dc.description.abstract | Nas últimas seis décadas, o Turismo transformou-se numa das maiores indústrias mundiais e como o setor económico que apresenta a maior taxa de crescimento anual. Representará atualmente cerca de nove por cento do Produto Interno Bruto mundial e um em cada onze empregos. Os estudos internacionais apontam no sentido de que o crime e a insegurança afetam negativamente a indústria turística, especialmente um dos seus componentes fundamentais – o turista. Forças Policiais de todo o mundo, reconheceram a necessidade de se adaptarem a esta realidade, apresentando respostas e modelos inovadores, abandonando o tradicional paradigma de polícia generalista – Tourism Oriented Policing and Proteccion Services. O objetivo central deste Relatório é refletir sobre a Segurança e o Turismo, de que forma se relacionam e influenciam entre si, sustentado numa abordagem teórica complementada pelo estudo e análise de casos práticos. Simultaneamente pretende-se também traçar o perfil dos turistas, proceder ao levantamento das respostas securitárias hodiernamente existentes nesta área em Portugal, designadamente na Polícia de Segurança Pública, analisando-as criticamente sob o prisma da doutrina internacional. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Over the past six decades, Tourism became one of the largest and fastest-growing economic setors worldwide. It represents today, nine percent of the Gross Domestic Product and one off each eleven jobs. International studies point out that crime and insecurity affect negatively the tourism industry, mainly one of his key elements – the tourists. Police Forces from all around the world acknowledge the need to adapt to this reality, presenting new and innovative models and responses, abandoning the former paradigm of police generalists - Tourism Oriented Policing and Protection Services. The main purpose of this report is to study the relationship between Security and Tourism, which are their mutual influences and how they interact with each other, sustained in a theoretical approach, complemented with the analysis of practical cases. Simultaneously also intends to establish the tourists profile, identify the kind of security responses given nowadays in Portugal in this area, particularly by its national Public Security Police, analyzing them through the existing international doctrine. | pt_PT |
