- Early stages of marine fishes occurring in the Iberian PeninsulaPublication . Ré, Pedro; Meneses, IsabelThis guide is intended for the identification of the early life history (ELH) stages of fishes collected by plankton nets from the marine and estuarine watres of the Iberian Peninsula (Eastern North Atlantic Ocean). The coverage area extends from latitude 34º-45º north, to longitude 6º-14º west. The basic characteristics of the eggs and larvae of 104 species belonging to 45 families are described.

With the aim of disseminating the importance of the multiple growth studies and of their application to improve the knowledge on the biology and dynamics of the commercially exploited species, a summary of the techniques and methodologies applied in the Laboratory of eclerochronology is included.
