The current paper presents an original educational instrument which purpose is that of empowering patients and caregivers in self-providing/providing health care assistance. It consists in a set of pictograms that complement the clinical nursing procedure on nasogastric tube feeding. Specifically, the instrument aims at explaining to the patient and to their informal caregivers, through pictograms, the proper procedure to manage adequate nasogastric feeding in the context of home care.engNasogastric feedingPatient educationInformal caregiverPictogramsA teaching tool for a nursing procedure with nasogastric tubejournal article10.9790/1959-0506024853
