A metodologia do projeto tem como objetivo principal centrar-se na resolução de problemas. É constituído por um Projeto de Intervenção no Serviço, sendo este desenvolvido num Centro de Medicina Subaquática e Hiperbárica e tem como base, entre outras atividades o desenvolvimento de procedimentos de diagnóstico, planeamento, implementação e avaliação da intervenção no âmbito do controlo e prevenção da infeção. Com este projeto de intervenção pretendemos adquirir competências clinicas específicas, na conceção, gestão e supervisão clínica em cuidados de enfermagem, através da realização de vários estágios que permitiram adquirir conhecimentos na avaliação ao utente e às famílias em situações complexas. O diagnóstico de situação permitiu-nos identificar a necessidade de melhorar a qualidade de cuidados no âmbito do controle da infeção num Centro de Medicina Subaquática e Hiperbárica. A avaliação da componente prática vivenciada no serviço permitiu-nos melhorar a integração da equipa multidisciplinar de forma proactiva, em que a aplicação de conhecimentos e capacidade de compreensão foram fundamentais para uma intervenção eficaz. Integrado neste trabalho, também foi elaborado um Projeto de Aquisição de Competências, com o desenvolvimento de atividades tendentes a ganhos específicos no atendimento à pessoa em situação crítica, quer pela exigência dos cuidados, mas também pela sua qualificação. Estes cuidados especializados devem ser prestados de forma contínua, à pessoa com uma ou mais funções vitais em risco imediato, como resposta às necessidades afetadas e permitindo manter as funções básicas de vida, prevenindo complicações e limitando incapacidades, tendo em vista a sua recuperação total.Abstract: This work is assumed as a project report in the framework of the first master´s degree in medical-surgical nursing in Health School at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal. The methodology of this project´s main objective is to focus on solving problems. It consists of an Intervention Project in the Service, which is developed in Center of Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine and is based, among other activities, the development of diagnostic procedures, planning, implementation and evaluation of intervention in the control and prevention of infection. With this intervention project the intention was to acquire specific clinical skills in the design, management and clinical supervision in nursing care, through the realization of various stages used to acquire knowledge in evaluating the patient and families in complex situations. The diagnosis of the situation allowed to identify the need to improve the quality of care in the control of infection in the Center of Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine. The evaluation of the practical component experienced in the service allowed to improve the integration of the multidisciplinary team proactively, in which the knowledge application and understanding capacity were fundamental for effective intervention. Integrated in this work was also elaborated a Project of Skills Acquisition, with the development of activities to specific gains in attendance to the person in critical condition, either by the requirement for care, but also for their qualification.
