Daí ser motivo para investigar este tema e acima de tudo evidenciar a importância da relação entre escola-família, no sentido de contribuir positivamente para o desenvolvimento e aprendizagem das crianças. A realização deste relatório permitiu aprofundar e reconhecer o papel dos profissionais e das famílias nos dois contextos, e do trabalho contínuo que é preciso ter, cuidadoso e atento, para que esta relação funcione. Este documento descreve, entre outros aspetos, a importância de saber ouvir e conhecer as famílias, com base numa relação de confiança; a colaboração e cooperação ao longo deste caminho; as fragilidades e dificuldades que o profissional pode encontrar, com as famílias, e quais as estratégias para apoiá-las. Naturalmente que as famílias quando se sentem integradas e acolhidas nos contextos educativos, são capazes de participar de forma ativa na vida das crianças, e de sentirem que as parcerias estabelecidas têm muitos benefícios para todos. Os estágios realizados em creche e jardim de infância tornam este relatório mais completo, pela partilha das observações e intervenções por mim desenvolvidas, enquanto estagiária. O estudo realizado teve por base uma metodologia de investigação qualitativa, sustentada nos princípios da investigação-ação, que utilizou diferentes procedimentos de recolha de informação que possibilitaram a contextualização, desenvolvimento e conclusão do trabalho.The importance of working with families is one of the biggest challenges that an educator can face in their profession. Hence it is a reason to investigate this theme and, above all, to highlight the importance of the relationship between school and family, in order to contribute positively to the development and learning of children. The production of this report allowed us to deepen and recognize the role of professionals and families in both contexts, and the continuous work, which must be done, careful and attentive, for this relationship to work. This document describes, among other aspects, the importance of knowing how to listen and get to know families, based on a relationship of trust; collaboration and cooperation along this path; the weaknesses and difficulties that the professional may encounter with the families, and what are the strategies to support them. Naturally, when families feel integrated and welcomed in educational contexts, they are able to actively participate in the lives of children, and to feel that the partnerships established have many benefits for everyone. The internships carried out in nursery and kindergarten make this report more complete, by sharing the observations and interventions developed by me, as an intern in the contexts.
