A aquisição da noção de adjetivo e a compreensão da sua posição nas frases são etapas muito importantes no processo de aprendizagem da língua, uma vez que os alunos começam a perceber e distinguir as relações entre as palavras, e de que forma é que influenciam o significado de uma frase. O presente relatório incide na importância do desenvolvimento da consciência sintática no 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, nomeadamente na aquisição da noção de adjetivo, e da sua posição nas frases. O estudo foi elaborado num grupo de 20 crianças do 1.º ano e teve como principais objetivos: Avaliar o nível de consciência sintática de um grupo de alunos do 1.º ano do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico; Identificar padrões de conhecimento sintático; Perceber a importância da leitura na aquisição do conhecimento sintático; Analisar e perceber possíveis dificuldades ou áreas de intervenção com o objetivo de melhoria. Esta investigação tentou dar respostas, por meio de atividades didáticas e observação direta, sobre como as crianças do 1.º ano percebem e utilizam os adjetivos nas suas produções orais e escritas, e que tipo de influência tem esta questão na leitura e na compreensão daquilo que é lido.The development of syntactic awareness in the first cycle of basic education is fundamental for building linguistic skills that allow students to understand and produce sentences effectively and in a structured way. The acquisition of the concept of adjectives and the understanding of their position within sentences are very important stages in the language learning process, as students begin to perceive and distinguish the relationships between words and how these relationships influence the meaning of a sentence. This report focuses on the importance of developing syntactic awareness in the first cycle of basic education, specifically in the acquisition of the concept of adjectives and their position within sentences. The study was carried out with a group of 20 firstgrade children, and its main objectives were: to assess the level of syntactic awareness of a group of first-grade students in the first cycle of basic education; to identify patterns of syntactic knowledge; to understand the importance of reading in acquiring syntactic knowledge; and to analyze and identify potential difficulties or areas for intervention with the goal of improvement.
