Assim, foi realizado um estudo seguindo uma abordagem qualitativa, usando-se o estudo correlacional de forma a sustentar ideias, tendo por base o Construtivismo, enquanto teoria das Relações Internacionais. Primeiramente analisou-se a perceção da Rússia em relação à política externa da Europa e, num segundo momento, repetimos o processo no sentido inverso, procurando perceber que avaliação faz a Europa da política externa russa e o modo como estes dois atores interagem em diversos aspetos da política europeia e internacional. Neste contexto, revelou-se fulcral compreender a identidade Russa no que diz respeito à definição e evolução da sua política externa e, por outro lado, perceber de que forma está a Europa dependente do poder energético russo. Da mesma forma, tentou-se perceber a relação especial que a Alemanha, enquanto estado europeu, mantém com a Federação Russa e até que ponto a relação conturbada entre a Rússia e a OTAN pode perturbar o equilíbrio europeu e internacional. Tendo em conta a influência que atores internacionais, como a Rússia, a Europa e os EUA têm no equilíbrio estratégico do Médio Oriente, procurou-se, ainda, perceber o atual conflito sírio. Neste estudo, tenta-se também compreender a mais recente aproximação russa à Ásia, região que tem vindo a assumir-se, no quadro internacional, como local de extrema importância.The importance of the Russian Federation in the new international geopolitical landscape, and the multi-vectorial character of its policy constitute, within the scope of theory for International Relations, Political Science and Geo-strategy, a fundamental object of study. So, a study was done through a qualitative approach, using a correlated study to support ideas, with Constructivism as the basis as theory of International Relations. Firstly, Russia‘s perception in relation to Europe‘s foreign policy, and in a second moment, we repeated the process in the opposite direction, seeking to understand what Europe‘s evaluation of Russian foreign policy is, and the way these two players interact in several aspects of European and international policy. In this context, it was essential to understand Russia‘s identity as it pertains the definition and evolution of its foreign policy, and on the other hand understand how Europe is dependant of Russia‘s energy power. In the same way, we attempted to understand the special relationship that Germany, as a European state, maintains with the Russian federation, and to what extent the tumultuous relationship between Russia and NATO might disturb the European and international balance. Taking into account the influence that international players such as Russia, Europe and the USA have in the Middle East‘s strategic balance, we sought to also understand the current Syrian conflict.
