A fim de avaliar o reflexo e a importância desta unidade, visto existir a percepção de que a dinâmica de Estremoz se desenvolve em função do Regimento. A ausência desta Unidade colocaria em causa as diversas actividades do concelho. Desta forma, através de um inquérito por questionário aplicado a 375 pessoas do concelho de Estremoz e diversas entrevistas, procurou-se encontrar resposta ao problema levantado. A partir da análise dos dados recolhidos chegou-se a alguns resultados significativos, nomeadamente, a forte ligação existente entre os militares e a população. Este laço criado advém, em muito, da sua história, bem como o modo satisfatório como os militares são vistos. Além disso, todo papel dinamizador que o RC3 tem desempenhado, contribuindo para o efectivo desenvolvimento de Estremoz. Este é um trabalho que poderá, eventualmente, completar-se com outros estudos, nomeadamente ao nível do conhecimento da realidade da população de outras regiões do país, podendo então estabelecer-se uma comparação entre diferentes regiões, onde também existam Unidades militares.AbstractThis work aims to verify how the direct relation between the dynamics promoted by Cavalry Regiment No. 3 and the various activities in the county of Estremoz existing.
