Este estudo tem como objetivo investigar de que forma a literatura para a infância pode contribuir para a aquisição de competências na Educação Pré-Escolar. A proposta é utilizar diferentes obras literárias como ferramenta para abordar diversos conteúdos curriculares, tais como rimas, contagens, orientação espacial, entre outros. Esta investigação tem como público-alvo um grupo de 14 crianças em idade de Educação Pré-Escolar, com 4 anos. A maneira como a intervenção foi conduzida junto com o grupo, priorizando continuamente as necessidades e os interesses das crianças, revelou-se crucial para o sucesso e os resultados alcançados. Após a realização deste estudo, torna-se evidente o impacto positivo que as histórias podem ter no quotidiano de um grupo Pré-Escolar, demonstrando ser uma atividade envolvente e prazerosa.Books are instruments of access to knowledge, playing an essential role in cognitive and linguistic development and in expanding our understanding of the world around us. Furthermore, the habit of reading provides those who practice it with a series of additional opportunities and benefits, which are widely known: it stimulates logical reasoning, keeps the brain active, expands the imagination, enriches the vocabulary, encourages critical thinking, expands the imagination, creativity and improved concentration. This study aims to investigate how childhood literature can contribute to the acquisition of skills in Pre-School Education. The proposal is to use different literary works as a tool to address different curricular contents, such as rhymes, counting, spatial orientation, among others. This investigation's target audience is a group of 14 children of Pre-School Education age, aged 4. The way in which the intervention was conducted together with the group, continually prioritizing the needs and interests of the children, proved to be crucial to the success and results achieved.
