With the aim of disseminating the importance of the multiple growth studies and of their application to improve the knowledge on the biology and dynamics of the commercially exploited species, a summary of the techniques and methodologies applied in the Laboratory of eclerochronology is included.O presente relatório apresenta os estudos do crescimento de espécies haliêuticas desenvolvidos pelo IPMA, I.P. com ênfase nas espécies atualmente estudadas, quer no âmbito do Programa Nacional de Amostragem Biológica (PNAB), quer no de projetos e linhas de investigação de interesse para a instituição.
